Is it alright if I apply before Deuce is accepted? Your Name: Deuce Activity Level: I plan on being pretty active. Why you should get the spot: I have tons of experience role-playing wolves, and have been alpha of a pack several times (with similar responsibilities as on this site). I have even more experience role-playing positions of power in general, and I thrive on the work for some crazy reason. Sample RP: [atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,false][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [bg=588558]
♠He sat numbly in front of his sister and the Council. Where there should have been emotion, an overwhelming sense of loss, regret, failure, or all three, he felt nothing but an odd feeling of absence. His mouth was dry, and he licked his lips as nervousness set in. He allowed his gaze to travel to Nyx. She sat on her 'throne', a natural rock formation that towered above the others by it, which were occupied by members of her council. The ones she trusted. And he, he added bitterly, was no longer one of them. But he got his just desserts. It was he who supposedly led the charge against her. Guilt clawed at him. How had he been so blind? How had he not noted the malicious gleam in his 'supporters' eyes? He, who prided himself on noticing everything that went on around him. He met his sister's eyes, a mirror of his own, and in that one moment, he, Deuce, regretted everything. He had screwed up, and had payed the price for it. The closeness he never noticed they had was gone. Now, she would likely sentence him to his death, likely a slow and painful one.
♠He hated the raw look of hatred, the way her steely gaze hardened to protect herself from the hurt of knowing that her brother, the one she trusted above all, had committed the ultimate betrayal. Deuce noted duly that it was the only way she knew how to deal with a pain that numbed even he, a self-proclaimed master of coldness. Nyx had always been more sensitive, more caring. And yet, here they were, and here she was going to sentence her own brother to death. Her only brother. Yet, he deserved it. He quickly looked down. Suddenly, the chatter that had filled the room as the council conferred stopped, and Deuce looked up, back at Nyx.
♠It was the moment of truth.
♠"Why?" for a moment, the young, hurt pup inside of Nyx had risen, and Deuce heard the crack, the pain. He flinched and looked to the side. When he dared look back up, he had masked his own expression of pain with a cool indifference. He wouldn't hurt her with the knowledge that he regretted it. He would protect her in a way, in an attempt to atone for his transgressions.
♠"Congratulations sister... for a game well played." he said. It was better this way. Several council members gave cries of indignation and one tried to leap at him, but was restrained by a more level headed peer. What surprised him, however, was the slight tenderness in her voice at her next words.
♠"I will not have your death on my conscience. You will be exiled. This trial is over." She said, and with that, she briskly turned and walked down the rock, likely to return to her den. Hushed whispers filled the room and many council members gave him dirty looks. When the clearing was empty except for the pack-mate designated to see him out of the territory, he murmured under his breath.
♠"Goodbye."

I feel like I shouldn't be applying to my own contest... >.> but no one else is, and Cimmy wants a pack. (he told me so) Your Name: Icey Activity Level: uhh, I'm the admin. So hopefully active. Why you should get the spot: Because I'm awesome and Cimmy wants a pack. And because there are plenty of spots open for other members if they want. Sample RP: (post can also be seen on The East board) The day was bright, and sunny. So cheerful it might make one of a lesser disposition sick. A few near-by gulls were cawing, as they searched for food among the rocks, and a cardinal pair sung gaily as they tried to convince their young to branch out from the nest.
One of the little red birds was a tad more daring then the others, and hopped out onto a nearby limb. Its parents, seeing that one youngster had at least gotten the message, abandoned it momentarily to try and coax the others out of the nest. While their backs were turned though, the little bird attempted another hop to a farther branch. Just then though, a strong breeze stuck the tree, catching the branching eyas, and carrying him off, dumping him onto a rock, only a few inches above the water. A wave crashed, soaking the little bird's feathers and it cried out weakly, terrified to be so far from its parents.
The parents heard the cry and lit from the tree, heading towards their wayward baby. But just as they approached, a lump formed in the water, scaring them off. They chose to land in the tree, and yell from afar.
The lump took formation as it rose out of the depths. First ears, then eyes, a head and muzzle. A white colored wolfish brute rose out of the ocean and stepped up onto the rocks. Water ran from his pelt, but it seemed that it instead poured from his very body. As if his fur poured too, a being that looked solid being nothing more then water.
Finally the water stopped dripping from his coat, and he padded across the jagged rocks, heading for the young bird. Gently, he lifted the scared and tired little thing into his maw, and carried it to the tree, leaving it at the base. Its parents would have to encourage it from there, for there was nothing more the brute could do, not being tall enough to reach the nest.
The strange brute returned to the shore, and shook his pelt thoroughly, before setting back on his haunches and looking back out at the ocean. He seemed to gaze for an infinite amount of time, before turning back to the land onto which he had stepped.
"Its been too long."
The brute padded forward slowly, scanning the area. It was a nice area, but not nice enough. He would have to find the perfect area first, if he was to start a pack. He chuckled to himself. Somehow he'd have to find members too. He didn't think that a 'hey, join the pack of the sea god' would work to well. Still, he knew things they didn't, and it would be wise of them to join while they could. Not that he'd ever deny entrance. Well, not if they needed it. If they chose to risk his anger, well then, things would be vastly different.

I don't know if I can do this, but Deuce your example was lovely! ^^ And I would like to see the ex-prince have a pack of his own. If Icey gives her stamp of approval as well, you would make a good alpha I'm sure (:
Icey! I think you used Cim here? He's so sweet, and your post showed that he has a lot of compassion for even the smallest of things. I think that he would make an interesting alpha, one that was more good than neutral or evil, which is a good thing!
You can both have alpha spots now, yes? <333

Pack's Name: Ki̱demónes (Greek for 'guardians') Pack's Description: The wolves of this territory are usually only found if they want to be. They are elusive, and learn early on every nook and cranny of their densely wooded territory. They excel at stealthy activities like spying, and often find out information much sooner than other packs. However, they fiercely guard this intelligence and rarely give anyone the dirt on another pack or wolf. Secretive and mysterious, there is very little known by others about them. Tread carefully in your dealings with them. They consider themselves 'protectors of eternity' and are usually sideline observers to the events around them, but if they believe that something important to history is being threatened, they will step in. For this they are often seen as somewhat eccentric by other packs and are usually regarded with an odd mix of respect and occasionally fear, for they make it their mission to eliminate anyone who threatens the correct flow of history. This pack accepts anyone who can carry out their pack's 'mission', and normals and mutants are treated equally. Personality wise, they tend to be stoic and apathetic in their behavior towards outsiders, but their community is tight knit, though it is never impossible for there to be an exception to the rule, though these are usually driven out or leave on their own eventually. All members take an oath to keep the pack's secrets hidden from outsiders. Location: F-10, F-11, G-10, G-11 Territory: There's a reason why wolves tend to avoid this territory if possible, despite it's eerie beauty. The woods here are extremely thick, and trying to enter this part is like figuring out a maze, unless of course a pack member is guiding you. Certain parts have a light fog during the early morning, and any with claustrophobia should avoid this forest section like the plague. Despite this, prey is plentiful because of the sheer lack of predators here besides the pack. However, most of their diet consists of small mammals and birds, and the only reliable source of larger food is a small herd of deer that reside near the river. The South-Western corner of the land is much more friendly, as it is a part of a large river that flows off of the mountains to the north. While the river doesn't hold anything that the pack considers a staple part of their diet, the Ki̱demónes thrive on the clean water, which is probably from a spring somewhere in the mountains. A few small fish can be spotted here and there, but they are normally not worth the effort it takes to capture one. Pack's Name: La Mer
Pack's Description: La Mer is a safe haven, created for any and all who are in need of shelter or a home. As long as you are kind and cause no trouble, admittance into the pack is a breeze. While there is a heiarchy to the pack's structuer, it is loose and relaxaed. More like a family than a pack.
The brute in charge of the pack is Cim, a brute with strange origins and an uncanny connection to the ocean. He tends to disappear on full moon nights, and while no one has seen him leave, there are rumors that he returns to his ocean kingdom, from whence he came. Cim is a kind leader, and prefers to lead a pack of good and gentle wolves. This does not mean he cannot be harsh though. He will not tolerate drama or violence in his pack, and will come down hard on those who cross him.
Location: D18 D19, E18, E19
Territory: La Mer's territory is not for those with a fear of water. Its located right on the egde of land, next to the ocean itself. The dens are kept dry, being tunnels that incline as they move back into the rocky cliffs. The main land of the pack's territory is the soft sand that covers the coast in the form of beaches.
For food, the pack feeds off the fish that get caught in the shallow pools around the bottoms of the rocky cliffs. If there is a greater need of food, there are plenty of mice and rabbits that inhabit the nearby grassy dunes.
Being located father north, a chill inhabits the beach in the colder months, and the oceans waters can become lethal to most wolves. The caves however, remain warm and dry as the tide recedes enough to for wolves to keep their paws dry while going to and from the dens.

Your Name: †WulfieActivity Level: I'm on everyday Why you should get the spot: I'm on all the time, I had a pack on the old site, I know what is expected of packs. Also, I think we need a crazy pack X3 Sample RP: [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,451,true] | [bg=000000]
Glowing blood colored eyes gazed across the endless wasteland as a pink tongue swiped over a set of oddly green tinted teeth. Chains clinked ominously as heavy paws started to carry the large brute across the land.
Finally.
He was out of the clutches of those god awful humans. Now maybe he could gather some like him to make them pay. Yes. He would make them pay dearly for the years of torture and torment he had been put through. He will admit, those days strengthened him beyond what one would imagine, but he wouldn't forgive them by simple strength gain. Those humans tore him of his childhood! Gran-it, being the way he was, his childhood was a lost hope to begin with, but still.
Some may consider him a one track mind wolf with the rambling and cursing he does of humans, but who wouldn't curse them and ramble on about them?! Certainly not this brute. He knew what he had to do and he wasn't scared to do it.
With strengthened resolve, even though it didn't need strengthened in the first place, the large brute sat on his haunches and let out a long low howl that nightmares are made of. If any answer, if any come, then they are either brave or stupid. Not that he cared either way. The stupid would die and the brave would wither or stand strong. Insane may come, but the more the merrier.
Akki wasn't stupid. He knew he'd need help to end those filthy two-legs. He would only take those willing to taste blood in thee jaws, feel bones break beneath their paws, and relish in the sound of screams and cries of pain of the two-legs. Those of weak hearts need not apply to this wolf. A sickly grin crept over his snout as the idea of murder ran through his mind. Oh what fun he would have.
He threw his head back a second time and let out a second, longer, louder howl. This howl spoke of the thin line of sanity he walked on, forever teetering on the brink of insanity. He loved it though. What was life without insanity? The sane were weak. His motto was, 'When sanity reigns, break the ranks, join the insane.' He lived and breathed by this motto and would keep doing so until the day he died.
Long live the insane.

Since Ice is having trouble logging on and informed me that my stuff was accepted regardless, here's the info for my pack. Pack's Name: Twisted Sanity Pack's Description: Twisted Sanity is not a pack for those that are faint of heart. Much like it's alpha, this pack is made up of those who had a vendeta against the fleshy two-legs. Whether they hate the humans or the humans did something to them that they feel needs revenge, each one in this pack is hungry for their blood. Sanity is not a requierment for this pack. In fact, the less sanity one has, the more welcome they are. Akki will not deal with worthless piles of flesh who feel the need to protect more then the need to fight. To him, needing protection means you are weak and if you are weak, you have no place in his twisted family and he will either send the weak wolf running with their tail between their legs or he will make sure the don't live to see the light of day. Location: M12, M13, N12, N13 Territory: The territory for this pack is dark and foreboading. It could be the middle of the day, yet, somehow, the land is always dark. Anyone in their right mind would stay away from these trees, but that is why Akki claimed it. There is a small lake to the north of the territory so water is abundant, however, due to the foreboading aura of the land, prey tends to stray away and hunting mut take place outside the borders.
